Case Study
Storm Angeconeb
Artist Portfolio Website
A professional portfolio website for a First Nations artist to showcase her artwork, projects, and growing body of work.

Project Overview
A dedicated home for a growing body of work
Storm Angeconeb needed a website where she could bring her artwork and projects together into one professional portfolio.
I built a Shopify website that gives visitors a place to learn about Storm, explore her artwork and larger projects, and contact her about her work.
As her portfolio has grown, I've also returned to the website to add newer work and make improvements to the site.

The Challenge
What the website needed
Work spread across different places
Storm needed one place where people could explore her artwork and projects.
A large visual portfolio
The website needed to accommodate many different pieces without making the portfolio difficult to browse.
More than individual artwork
Her work includes murals, public installations, canvas pieces, beadwork, and other projects that needed room to be presented.
Artist information
Visitors needed to be able to learn about Storm and the artist behind the work.
An easy way to connect
Potential clients and organizations needed a straightforward way to contact her.
My Approach
Keep the website focused on the artwork
This was a straightforward portfolio project, so I kept the website focused on its main purpose: giving Storm a professional place to showcase her work.
I used Shopify to build the website and organized her artwork, projects, artist information, and contact options into a structure visitors could easily navigate.
The visual design was kept relatively simple so the variety and colour in Storm's artwork could remain the focus.
I've since returned to the website to update her growing portfolio and make improvements to the site's performance and overall experience.

Why This Project Stands Out
A website that grew with the artist
Storm's website was one of my earlier freelance projects and has continued to evolve since it was first built.
As her career and portfolio have grown, I've returned to the site to add new work and make improvements. What started as a simple artist portfolio now showcases a much larger collection of artwork, public projects, partnerships, and other work.
Most importantly, Storm has told me the website has helped her connect with more clients.

The Final Product
A portfolio that continues to grow
The finished website brings Storm's artwork, projects, background, and contact information together in one place while giving her portfolio room to continue expanding.
